Hi Dennis,

I sent you a pm. Can't seem to get the needle out of slide on 1985 Interstate. Does the nut come off? How would I know if the slides are moving up and down as they should and not sticking? 58,000 miles, carbs re-built, but still missing under 3500 rpms.

thanks

Hi Dennis,

I just took out the needle. It says 1CM on it. It sounds to me like the wrong needles are in there if you say it should be 1CG right??

Ok, sounds good. We used a kit and re-built the carbs. All the diaphragms looked fine. One jet was plugged and others were restricted so we cleaned them out. There were no shims in the needles, but the previous owner said it had smaller needles because it was in Colorado. Fuel filter was not changed, so i supppose it could be that, but I doubt it. The miss is down in the 3000 range and always goes away as you get on it. Maybe a slide is sticking?? How could I tell?

Anwsers anybody??:doh::doh:
