Hi all,

What weight crankcase oil is recommended for an '86 SEi? I'm down in Austin, so it'll be hot. I'm kind of a Maxima oils fanboy, but recommendations are appreciated.

What about lube for the shaft drive?

Thanks,

Chris

Many of us use the Delo 400LE 15w40 with great results and it's available at Walmart for $13/gal.
Great in the heat and cold, around town and touring.

I am another convert to Delo 400LE 15w40 after years of Synthetic Blend Honda oils, it does seem to shift smoother on my '85 1200A . Next change on the Trike and it get's Delo too.

20w50 any brand, change it often. I live in Phoenix, and it gets HOT here too. I use 85w90 gear oil in the final drive, same stuff you put in car differentials.

x50 (soon to be anyway) on the DELO. In those warm temps stay with at least a 10w/40, and the DELO's 15w/40 is more than good enough.
