I might be posting this in the wrong area....but here we go.

I need some seat recommendations. The stock seat is good for maybe 45 mins to an hour, by then myhiny gets pretty darn sore. (So does dearest)

There seem to be a few manufacturers that make replacement seats...Diamond Seats, Saddlemen to name a few.

Prices vary widely....

What are some experiences/recommedations that you can give me..

Thanks, Bart

I have a Travelcade on mine and love it. A sheep skin pad may also help as it allows air to circulate and can make a world of difference. The Travelcade I have is cloth on the top. An extra set of pegs mounted to the engine guard allows you to reposition your feet and stretch out your legs which can help a lot.

I have a Saddleman Road Sofa with back rest, after300 miles I am very happy with it.

Hi,

I have an 82 1100 Aspencade. I recently had the opportunity to compare two Sadlemen seats side by side from JC Whitney. I posted a "review" of sorts here:

I liked both seats but chose the deluxe.

Tim.

I ordered a Saddlemen seat kit with the gel to put on a spare pan that I have. They made the seat to fit my hight and weight and it is great. Plus it is the same color as original.

For me and a number of GL1200 owners I know the Diamond seat is awesome, lots of long range comfort.
