I was wondering, has anyone tried to convert the signal marker lights at the bottom of the fairing on a gl1200 goldwing aspencade, and have them operate as running lights from a separate
switch? It would be nice to have these lights operate as running lights as to give the bike a bigger footprint at night. If anyone has I would appreciate some input as to how to go about doing such a conversion. Thanks in advance.

It was common to do that, wayback when. I think they just hooked the wires up toa switched source. There was also an aftermarket kit which included dual-filament bulbsand allowed both runnings lights and a brighter turn signal function.
