I bought a GL1200 without air suction valve connections on the cilinder heads.
Does anyone know what kind of engine this is?
All the information I can find is about engines with an air suction valve.

If you are referring to the air injection system, it is a U.S. EPA mandated mess for bikes sold in the U.S., and I'm sure in other markets as well. I noticed you are in the Netherlands. It is possible that your bike was not equipped with this system. It serves no purpose other than to lean out the exhaust and cause backfiring and overheating. I removed it from my '85 1200. I had to plug the holes in the heads where the fittings went. If yours does not have these holes, then it never had the system.

Like JerryH says it is probably a non-us model. Canadian models do not have that system .......
