GL1200 won't start, no spark

I'm writing this in case anyone else has the same issues I had.
Engine running perfectly, I had to stop due to waiting for an accident scene to clear, and shut the bike down. After a five minute wait, tried to start the bike and it would turn over with no problem but no fire, no sputter- no spark. Even jumping the battery would not get a spark. After extensive reviewing of posts and hitting the books, I figured out it probably was the pulse generator, although all the symptoms talked about intermittent problems, not a total shutdown. I put in the new pulse generators and tried it with the radiator off and got an immediate sputter, so I knew that was the problem. Put it all back together and fired it up on the second rev of the starter- not bad after sitting for 8 months. Ran it to work today (40 mile commute) and it ran flawlessly. I hope this helps anyone else who has a similar problem. I also replaced the timing belts since they were overdue, using the link from another post here for the video that walked me through it- excellent video.
