friday the charging systum on my 1200 went out saterday i pulld the motor and replaced the stator. sunday i started it and with new oil and about 30 seconds after the oil presher came up it started ticing bad and just got whorse. after turning it off i found that the two right intake valves bent and the timming belt jump time . the belts were replaced 3years ago i ride this bike to and from work every day year round . i just dont know what went wrong .has anyone had this problem

That's weird, all right.

The book suggests you take the right cover off to get the motor out. Did you do that?

yes went by the book . at first i thaght i droped some thing in the intake but not the .case

Maybe the belt was loose enough that when it got bumped or something. Or maybe it was super-intelligent mice trying to take over the world, one valve at a time.

Whatever happened, you seem to know what needs to be done. Was the piston damaged?

thay have some marks but not damage i have another head ill try that tonight
