The speedometer/odometer, signal light cancel and radio auto volume are all controlled by the small black control module located at the speedomter drive on the lower left fork. Sometimes the speedo gear itself will fail and consequently the control module is affected and will not work. Also , sometimes the control module will fill with water and stop and can simply be cleaned out ( if you are lucky) . So check the module and the speedo gear . The control module is around $100 to replace if necessary. It is also possible that the wires from the module have come unplugged under the false tank. .......... GM
