A question before I do a tear-down of the transmission cover;

When doing the stator, I replaced the pump with the metal impeller type since my previous bakelite-like pump was worn out, sloppy, and became noisy (but still did not leak!). Since then, the pump leaks slightly through the weep hole, the shaft is solid, spins freely; what is the chances of the leak being the large oring? I have given it 1000 miles to let it seat itself, if possible.

Can I pressure test the pump out of the bike to be sure of the seal (these things get expensive, let alone the time and other things I end up breaking).:?

Thx in advance!

chance is that one of the o rings got nicked . either on the pump or one of the water transffer ports . they can be tricky some times. if the pump is new its more than likley one of the o rings got nicked and is leaking . noway to pressure check it out of the bike that i know of.
