GL1500 1990 Turn signal issue..

I noticed when I brought the bike out of storage this past spring, that when making a turn signalling, that if I turned on the left blinkers that after the turn was made and the "signalling" was finished that the white curb turning lights would stay lit.

In fact both left & right curb lights remained on until I fiddled with the signal switch.

Turning right, the same appears to happen other than the left light does not light up

No really big deal but now I notice that if the cancelling does not work right, the amber running lights do not come back on until I fiddle with the turn switch.

This morning I pulled the switch down to every screw and spring and contact and cleaned it to like brand new thinking this would cure this but it did not.

Another bonus issueis that the 4 way hazard lights will not work unless I use the signal switch to indicate a left or right turn.

I have traced the electrical wiring diagram and find it just beyond all intelligent engineering design to have to remove thetrunk just to test the relays!!

:X:X:X:X:X:X:X:X:X:X:X WAY TO GO HONDA DESIGN TEAM!!!

I remember on my GL1200 this happened and it was a case of an unplugged relay or connector.

Where would this one be for the GL1500?

Your input would be again greatly appreciated..

Well thanks to a private email, I was able to fix this by raising the trunk and cleaning the contacts on both relays.
This is now fixed forthe signal/markers light operation but the hazards still not function unless I signal left or right with the igniton key in the on position.

This can't be normal?

Check the #10 acc fuse. Also the hazards only work in on, acc or park.

Will do again.. I think this is a wiring issue though. On my GL1200 I found I had a disconnected wire that was the culprit..
