I posed this question initially inside threat titled "GL1500 clutch".

http://www.goldwingfacts.com/forums/2-goldwing-technical-forum/401914-gl1500-clutch-2.html

Since my problem is a very specific issue related to a GL1500 clutch, and I'd like to get some laser focus attention on this, I started a new thread.

I'd like to hear ONLY from those who have removed the oil seal which fits in the clutch cover behind the clutch slave cylinder on a GL1500.

How did you remove the seal? What tool, what technique, and how much force was required?

Mine seems very stuck, and at this point is beyond usability so MUST be removed and replaced. My escalating use of force has begun to involve the use of a 4 lb hammer. So it's time to stop ... and ask for detailed help from someone who's done this specific job before.

Racerx has kindly suggested a particular tool, but since the manufacturer and origin of the tool is unknown .. i'm seeking additional input.

Please help! Thanks in advance!
