Can anyone explain to me , the steps involved in synching the carbs on a 1989 wing. According to my Clymer manual, the petrol tank should be removed prior to carrying this out. Is this the case , or is there an easier way. What sort of gauges are best? I have read in some reports that the carbs need synching approximately every 5k miles. My bike is normally dealer serviced, and I always ask him to synch the carbs, however I doubt if he has ever removed the petrol tank.
Is this an easy job to do?
