I am having trouble getting the exhaust chamber off my gl1500 1990 wing would like to know the easyest way to get off.:lash:

Pulling the right header is easiest due to the heat shield differences & the shifter on the left to deal with.

The clamping bolts should get a good soak with penetrating oil maybe a day ahead of time...

Hopefully there are graphite seals between the chamber and the pipes. If not it may literally be welded in place by heat and rust. I would remove both header pipes and both mufflers first, while the chamber is still anchored in place. It is easier to wiggle the pipes around and break them loose.
