Can anyone tell me please whether the 2 mufflers on the GL1500 should have a 1/8th hole towards the front bottom of each muffler?

Not too sure ,but they sound lke drain holes for the condensation ....

Thanks. I am sure that this is correct. Just that when the engine is running the erxhaust fumes are escaping through these holes and I wonder if that is affecting performance?

Yep, they are drain holes. Dunno if smoke is supposed to come out. I never got under there and looked.

Yep... Drain holes. Water is a by-product of the combustion process. Without these holes, the cans would rot out really fast. Hope this helps.
