hi all can anyone help with this problem please. i have renewed the final drive and drive shaft on my 1500gl (1989) before i did this im sure that when i fired it up engine in neutral the rear wheel would rotate by itself sticking my foot against it would stop it.now it does not do this pushing the wheel by hand it seems free with a very slight drag on the brake pads
have not been able to try a road test yet due to the great british weather(snow)any help would very appreciated thanks Dave (uk)

I don't think I would worry about the rear wheel NOT turning when idling in neutral.
It's not really supposed to be turning then.

If you put it in gear and try to turn it, does it still turn? If not you are ok. If it still turns easily when in gear then you probably have not got the splines engaged at the u-joint.
