i have a venom AM41 on the front that i do like, however on looking at it it is about done the centre is ok but the sides are just about at the wear marks fairly even. the tyre has covered about 5500 miles.

is this normal as i thought the tyres would last a lot longer than this, by the way i do push the wing to peg limits on dry days and damp days

do i have suspension issues or do i just need a tyre:cheesygrin:

I think if you looked at a new tire, you'd see the tread isn't very deep on the sides. Also, these days, therubber is usually softer on the sides, so it wears a little quicker.

You should be able to keep running the tire until the rear squares off and is no longer usable.

If you plan on only riding the slab you tyre should last awhile longer.
However if you love the twisties it's time for a new one.

Check the tire for cupping also. Balancing can come into play as well as proper inflation. I just put new tires on my 1500 and I installed "ride-on". So far so good!
