Can someone with an early model, non vented GL1500 gas cap please post a pic and some rough dimentions of the cap?

Honda claims to be out of caps for the GL12, but the part number is the same, except the model designation, as the early GL15. Also, the gasket is the same part number. I'd just like to know if the caps are the same.

GL12 cap: The piece that enters the tank is 1.5 inches in diameter. The outsidediameter is about 2.75 inches.

part that goes into tank is just over 1 1/2 total outside dia is around 2 3/4

Sounds like the same cap. I will have to track down a local GL15, and look. Thanks Wilf.
