:sadguy:is their any place that i can get a replacement cover for the ignition key. i have a 2000 gl 1500se and the one i have now,the tab that holds it down in the front,were the key goes. is wore down and does't stay down. when at speed, it raises up and hope it doesn't blow off. any suggestions where to get one?:waving:

I had one of the tabs break off completely.I took a small 'pan head' screw, cut off the sharp point, ground the head down to a shape similar to the original taband screwed it in the back of the cover and further secured itwith JB Weld when I was sure it worked.It has held this way for 3 years with no problems. If you are interested, I can e-mail you a photo of the back side.



I have one of those covers from CycleMax but it is a cover only and has no tabs on the back. You have to stick it on the original cover and in your case the tab on the original cover is worn until it will not lock so the CycleMax cover will not work for you.
