Hi Sjmorri,

I would strongly recommend that you NOT try to inflate an air mattress with your onboard air compressor. It is not designed to do that kind of work. It is designed to inflate to a high pressure with low volume like a shock or a tire. Not low pressure and large volume. The piston in the compressor is only as big around as a quarter.

It will take you considerable amount of time to inflate an air mattress. You will probably:

1) Run down your battery too deep and ruin it.
2) Burn out your compressor.
3) Fall asleep while item 1 or 2 happens before the mattress is completely filled.

Your best bet is to pick up a proper mattress inflator at Canadian Tire that is a 12vdc unit. This is the unit I use and it only takes 4 min to inflate a large double high mattress. They cost anywhere from $30 – 40 for a good one.

Save your bike, save your money and save your sanity!

Good Luck.

Tim.
