I have a 1988 1500-6. In the mornings (low 20degree) when i ride my radio/avc has a whinning noise coming out of the speakers, even with the radio off. It starts at about 45-50 miles per hour. When i brake it stops at about 30miles per hour. when i speed back up sometimes it does it again and sometimes it doesn't. If the temp is above 30-35 it doesn't do it at all. I am stumped at what the problem is.:?

You sure the noise is not the speedo cable?

I replaced the cable and gearbox on the front wheel and still does it. that is what i thought it was also. The noise is coming through my speakers.

A whining noise in the electrical system would typically be caused by the alternator. I have no clue as to how or why it would come through the speakers with the radio off.
