1988 GL1500: First my rear speakers cut out, I thought it might be a connection to the rears since I had off the under trunk cover. I checked but no issues. Later the front speakers cut out. the intercom system provides all the sound I'm supposed to get.

1. I 'm concerned that maybe it's the board or chips in the radio. Any ideas as to how to diagnose the problem.

2. If I need to replace the radio what years will plug and play.

3. If I need a radio does anybody out there have one to sell.

Thanks all.

Just double checking that you didn't accidentally hit the Intercom/speaker button on the dash???

I saw a few on ebay.

hi sit on the bike and put your hands under the neck of the radio you will feel a rubber cover that has the plug in conections pull them towards you i would say the connector has come loose and make sure the radio is on the speakers when you do this
