My radiorecently developed lots of static while Wing on road, butis fine when stopped. Twodays ago, itescalated towierd part.
When I now pull inclutch lever, radioMUTES! When I start off, it's PLAY, MUTE, PLAY, MUTE, etc, until5th gear; is then OK until I pull in clutch lever again.Andword MUTE appears every time on dash LCD panel. This isalsoaccompanied byannoying static Ialready had.Intend to pullleft handlebar switch boxcompletely apart, check all connections.
Also have low tape player volume, but this problem startedlast year. ANY advice really appreciated. Feelabove problem ispossibly inside left handlebar switch box. TTFN.....Old Tom
It would seem that the mute switch on the left handlebar is acting up plus you may have a very bad ground in the radio which compounds things from the previous year of the tape deck not being very loud.
I've had in my car that the heads for the cassette get so dirty that you get no volume out of the deck.
Just a point of starting the trail to repairs here..
THANKSfor the replies!
Will tear into thingsafter Thursday [including checkingradio ground wire], as tomorrow's our 49th Anniversary and we're off on a Wing trip! TTFN.....Old Tom
