GL1500 seat and/or seat cover

OK, I am torn (lol) between replacing the seat on my 1500 (it has a small tear and some obvious repair marks) or simply covering it with a seat cover.



The seat cover would probably be less expensive but is it the best solution?



I spent some time this morning looking at new seats and the Saddleman replacement looks confortable, but I would have to rob a bank to be able to afford it.

OEM GL1500 seat [at Cheap Cycle Parts] now $262+ change and this is almost exact same price as local Honda shop. Parts man saidblanket Honda parts price increase came in very recently. BUMMER! .....Old Tom
