I hope you get the seat that you want I have a different problem.

My seat is in excellent condition on my 97 1500 SE I am not very tall 5' 6" and would like to lower/re-profile my seat so that not just my toes touch down.

Has anyone had any experience with lowering/re-profiling a seat could it be a DIY job or does it have to be done by an upholsterer ?

Thank you

"Can't you let some air out of the shocks to lower the profile so you can stand flat-footed?"

Thank you for the advice will lowering the pressure in the shocks have an adverse effect on the handling ?

(you can take about 2ins out of the stock seat the cover is only stapled on use an electric carving knife to shape the foamjust be careful you dont take to much)

Thank you for the advice what will it look like when it is done ?

With the profile changing will the seat look a bit odd as the decorative stitching will be in the wrong place or even out of sight when the cover is re-stapled on. Not being an upholsterer I worry that I might spoil the seat, I am pretty good at DIY I suppose this is just another challenge.

Thanks again
