hello all,having removed the air shock of my gl1500,i put it on the floor and oil ran out all over,when i want to refit it it will need to have oil replaced,my question is any body have any idea what oil it is?thanks

I used ATF.
Check the boot carefully for rips or tears. Replace with Monroe kit if necessary.
the shock is in good condition,it rolled over and the oil ran out of the hole where the pipe connects,i should of took more care.

You could just bite the bullet and get a set of progressives to replace both of them

I prefer type F ATF fluid, it resists foaming and has molly in it.
