A curiosity question for those who do a lot of long distance traveling on their wings:

Does anyone carry a spare fuel pump with them when they travel?

I've blown fuel pumps before on my 1984 V65 Sabre before and it hs never been a problem since the fuel pumpis easily bypassed to run the bike on gravity feed.

From what I understand the GL1500 doesn't look like you can do this. Correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks,

Brian

I've been threatening to fit a schraeder valve into the fuel cap for the "emergency" use... 2-5 PSI of air pressure should force-feed that fuel enough to get me to an autoparts store where I could score a replacement pump.

> I carry one, but have not yet had to use it... I put it into a metal soup can, to protect it while packed.

> I heard that if you have the Vented Gas Cap, then you can attach a length of tubing to it, to blow into... That supposidely will presurize that tank enough, to push a small amount of gas into the engine, permitting low speed riding.
