switches seldom / if ever used= like the mute button etc on 1500

i have tried WD 40 to no avail,, i assume there is a moisture barrier in the buttom

anyone gone thru this short of removing and lube inside

Look in the reference section on sticking switches. I use electrical contact cleaner. It works longer. You can get elec CC and lube at radio shack. Protect the painted surfaces.

The only recommendation I'd add to Gene's excellent tutorial is to use Radio Shack's cleaner/lubricant. WD is good for a while but doesn't really leave much in the way of lubricant behind. The Radio Shack stuff is designed for this problem.
