Hi All,

Slowly getting there, have yesterday replaced the fork springs with progressive and found that the guy who had put the cap in previously had stripped the thread so awiat a new one.

On inspection of the wiring I found that the turn signal cancelling unit has not been connected. It is a brown 6 terminal connector block and, as far as I know, it is not an item left off the Interstate.

Can anybody tell me where this brown block should be connected.

I'm a little confused as to what the wiring is for then. It goes down the steering head stem and underneath there is a the switch (I think). Strange that Honda would go to the trouble of fitting it for nothing. Also the handbook makes no differential between the models when it says the indicators will turn off once turn has been completed or you can manually cancel by pushing the indicator directional switch:?

Sorry,

reread your post. The cable goes into the steering head and is connected. A brown connector block is at the other end (exposed)

Pondering this, I still don't understand why Honda would go to the trouble of installing the device in the steering stem unless it was required. I am assuming that my analysis of what it is for is correct although I may be mistaken. Also it may just be that Honda have built all the chassis with basic electrical equipment the same for those to build up to spec required for retail.

I understand that there will be additional connector plugs as in cars the manufacturers leave openings for accessories that they supply. If this were just a connector off of the harness I would understand it, but why put a self cancelling unit (which by all accounts aren't cheap) on something that is not going to use use it.

There is one currently listed on Ebay at the moment if confusion is being caused as to what I am talking about

So what else is required to complete the circuit? Seems a shame to have not to utilise what mr Honda has provided.
