I have owned my GL1500 for three months now and am loving it. I will never go back to the "Big Twin". Model yearis a 2000.

I have a small issue with the bike that is a bit of a safety issue. When I am coming up to an intersection and want to turn, my turn signal willshut off in 6 seconds.This has caused me to turn multiples of times with no signal on. It makes people a little angry and has almost caused me to get rear ended. It always happens when I'm in the middle of downshifting and looking at traffic so sometimes I don't notice that it shut off.I thought I wassignaling too earlybut that is not the case. 6 seconds does not give you much time whenyou are slowingdown from 55 mph to make a turnat an intersection.

Any suggestions on how to re-program? I read the owners manual andfoundnothing that wouldhelp.

There was a How-To article posted about that recently.

It came down to Cutting one wire on the turn signal cancelation switch, to disable the Cancelation Feature. That switch is located beneath the lower portion of the steering stem.

I have not yet done it myself, but looks very easy.
