Most the little tap on the bottom goes between the throttle cables, there is a small allen blot which yoiu adjust for the pressure on the throttle sleeve..somem youi have to take the grip off to slide the lock on some the lock opens up and yoiu can slip it over the sleeve while in place.

I bought a Vista throttle lock for our 1994 goldwing but can't figure out how to install it -No directions-thanks Rich
