It is with regret that I have to sell my Goldwing due to an accident I had at work 2008 that means I can not ride it anymore. It is known on this site from when Pete AKA Silverfox owned it and has not changed in spec from when he had it. I have hung on to it hoping that I would be able to ride again but have finally had to realise that this will not happen. Here is a copy of my listing on E Bay:-
Here we have my much loved but alas unused Canadian spec GL1500SE. It us up for sale as I had an industrial accident 5 years ago and have not used it since. This does not mean that I will give it away either so I have set a realistic price at least £1000 below what it is worth. It has been in the garage for 5 years and has sadly sustained some minor marks whilst it was in there. These are shown on the pictures and consist of scatches to the offside wing mirror (it was rubbed against the wall), a scuff mark down the offside pannier and a crack in the windscreen (I don't know who or how these came about but it is a big bike in a cramped garage). Apart from these mentioned faults everything else is in good order for a 16 year old bike. I pulled it out of the garage, changed it's fluids including brake fluid, charged the battery and started it up. It took a while to get good fuel to the carbs but when started everything was as it should be. A quick check through the gears showed everything was good so I then gave it a wash and quick polish. The bike had gimmicky lights that were on it when I bought it from a friend of mine but I have never used. In fact I removed the LED's from under the panniers but the wiring is still in place. The two blue spot lights still work but the bulb on the nearside has gone and the offside one is wobbly on its bracket (secured with a bit of mastic). The "ring of fire" for some reason does not work but as I said I never used them.
I have just ordered a new battery for it as the original did not hold charge overnight and I will put 1 years MOT on it for whoever buys it.
It is showing 57856km which is 35950 miles so for a bike like this it is very low milage.
It has had an IPod and Sat Nav system added to the audio system which is controlled by flicking a small toggle switch on the radio console. The tyres were newly fitted just before I stopped riding it and are still good.
I have it listed elsewhere and reserve the right to withdraw it at anytime.
Contact me if interested before 8pm as I work shifts.

I am looking for offers as close to £5500.00 as possible. I am located in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire.
If interested please ring me.
Thanks
Dean

Very sad to hear that you have to part with her Dean, she is a beauty and if I had the £'s and wanted a 1500 I would be all over her again like a rash.

I hope she now goes to a good home and will be loved for many more years, by the next owner. :)
Beautiful bike, good luck with your sale!
Beautiful bike, good luck with your sale!
(Ansimp, I may know where there is an equally beautiful 1500 for sale very close to you in Brisbane. :))

I did a lot of work on that bike of Jemj's before he took it on and it would please any buyer still. It is a very rare colour in the UK, being a one year only that wasn't issued in the UK and I have only ever seen one other like it and that was a US spec one and not the Canadian Edition one.
I loved the colour, because in some lights it looked black and in others it looked like a lovely midnight blue.
It has a lot of additions that Jemj doesn't mention and I spent a lot of £££ maintaining it fastidiously and putting on all the things I liked, such as Motad Stainless exhausts, wind wings, Rack on the top box, Cee Bailey screen to name but a few.

Thanks Pete, your message just shows the love and attention she has had from you. Unfortunately as you know I only owned her for about two months before my accident at work and since then she has sat in the garage which is why I have not listed it with all of the extras, I just couldn't think of them all.
You could make a good salesman if you ever wanted to give up the day job.
Hope to see you around mate.:)
