Here is a tip for you GL1800 guys.........!

Friend of mine has a new GL1800, he could receive calls just fine on his CB but was unable to transmit. His first thoughts were CB problems as his J & M headsets/cords were brand new. However upon further diagnosing the problem, it was a bad "microphone" in his brand new J & M headset. Bottom line is just because something is new, don't rule it out when diagnosing a problem.

I hada JM headset pin break off once and it took me a while to work out why I couldn't hear the radio. It was a new headset as well.
