A good auto paint supplier/store with a color scanner will get that for you with a chip. Most likely you won't find that on here.

There is no base colour for the PB304M Henk, the "Pearl Apollo Blue" isn't actually a pearl type paint. It is just a metallic blue colour which you clearcoat over.
It is also an easy colour to get matched in a car paint suppliers.

I am only asking, because I am by no means certain, but aren't the panels for the Goldwings coloured through, so not a different colour under the paint. :?:?

The Honda reds are done differently, ie 3 stage paint. Silver or sometimes black base, then colour coats and finally clearcoat.

Some Honda colours are pearl (yellows, whites, some blues) and have a flat pale colour (pale yellow for a yellow finish, for example), and the pearl coats go over that. Clearcoat on top.

Some other Honda colours (greens, some blues, blacks) are standard metallic with clearcoat on top. pb304 is one of those, ie no base colour.

Henk I do not know a lot about paint ,but as far as I know most goldwing panels are painted in the USA and they use acrilic paint (oil based) and we in Europe only use waterbased colours as acrilic is banned in Europe and that is why it is almost impossible to match the Honda colours here .

Someone who knows paint in Europe might chime in and clear this up .. Ciaran

In most of Europe water based paint is only compulsory for spraying cars, we can still buy the motorcycle colours.
PPG do an excellent match for PB304M, I've used it myself on a couple of 2001 GL1800s. The PPG match is just a metallic base coat and you spray it straight over the primer. Clear lacquer on top.
