The fans are about 1/2" larger in diameter from 2006.
GL1800 Cooling Fan Specifications - older versus newer
I have modified my 2003 GL1800 with the reverse fan modification using "Electric Fan Engineering" fans. These work great. However, I am going to upgrade to the larger radiators from 2006 and above. The radiator shrouds are 1.5" larger in diameter. My EFE fans do not fit this shroud. Can anyone tell me if the fans from 2006 - 2013 (all have the same part number 19030-MCA-A61 are larger than the 2001 - 2005 fans (19030-MCA-003 and 19032-MCA-003)? I have heard that the older stock Honda fans mount straight in the new shrouds, but is the fan diameter larger on the newer models? Also - has anyone done the reverse fan modification on a 2006 - 2012?

what size that u purchased your reversed fan for your 2003 from EFE? any kit that I can purchase for Goldwing 2004/2005? I cant seem to find the link that provide the kit.

Reversing the fans makes them blow out instead of in, which really doesn't work very well in the real world. At a sustained speed of 15 to 20 mph they will overheat with the fans blowing inward.Reverse Fan Kit?? Why?? Just wondering if I'm missing something here. What does do for the bike..
