GL1800 cruise control doesn't work

I changed the air filter on my b04 GL1800, now the "cruise Set" green light bflashes and cruise won't work. Re-checked all connections 3 times, still nothing. I am currently on the road with a borrowed computer and would like the cruise. Any suggestions?

Did you unplug the cruise while you had the cover off, or did you just move it out of the way?

I did undp all the plugs to move it. I have a phobia about stretching wires and my service manual does says to unhook the plugs. I have done this before and had no problems. Perhaps i am being punished for having sol much fun. Is there a reset or computer reboot that maybe I need to do? I have thoroughly inspected all the plugs and pins and they are in order.

Any assistance will be appreciated. I need to help me stay under the RADAR. Thank you in advance.

Besides the cruise actuator connector there is also the cruise/reverse control module on top of the air box, a black 22 pin and a grey 22 pin connector, did you check those?

Ok, my head is hung in shame. I have learned that after a 16 hour day, at 11:00 at night, maybe you should not try to change the air filter. I I thought there were two unused connectors. RONG! I just couldn't see the one on the right. I took it apart one day, and attempted to re-assemble the next. I have a good memory, it's just short. (Re-reading a manual helps too.) All fixed and ready to go. Thank you all for your replies and allowing me to whine publically.
