GL1800 Digital Music Player All In One MP3 Solution

Does anybody have experience with these units? http://www.bikemp3.com/product.sc?productId=4&categoryId=1

I am considering this unit so if anybody knows about any pros or cons, I'd like to hear.

On some 1800's, they work well, on a few they don't work at all. On some, they have an occasional hiccup. That's mine. I was about ready to send it back, but figured out how to avoid most lock-ups. Works a treat, if I remember to switch radio to FM before shutting bike off. Especially, if I plan on an immediate re-start. Seems the data stream is slow, and doesn't like "interruption" while communicating with radio.

Go to electronics section of GL1800riders.com board, and read the "new gadget" thread.

I can't help but wonder,........is this the same player???

Surely, LilPete.

I know one thing. I wouldn't pay the current price for this thing. It's ok, and I like the fact that it's out of "thieves" eye field, but, I actually like my Sandisk better. It's almost as easy to jump around with it, and has the advantage of seeing who's currently playing. But, I have to take it off the mount everytime I go out of "eye-shot".
