Hi everyone. I'm having a problem that is baffling me. Last night I tried to start my 1800 and when I hit the button I heard a loud click and lost all electrics. Dash lights, reverse, everything. I thought the battery was flat even though its only a couple of months old (not a cheap one either) and one of my workmates brought out jumperleads. It still wouldn't work so I checked all the fuses and they were grand. Then when I was giving up and pushing the wing back into the warehouse all the power came back on! I started it up and it ran great all the way home. Then this morning I went out, hit the button and a loud click or crack and everything wentdead again, and no power again. I wonder if the ignition switch is faulty, but I'm just guessing and am open for suggestions please.

Just a quick update before I head out to work. It was the battery + terminal. I borrowed a meter to check the battery and when i tipped it off the terminal the radio started up (ignition was on), so I grabbed the battery lead and shook it and discovered that the bolt&nut holding it on was loose! I got a spanner and tightened it up and it's all okay now.
I wouldn't mind, but it was a bike shop that fitted the darned thing in the first place. I remember that the guy used a screwdriver to tighten the bolt. If he had used a spanner I probably wouldn't have had any problems. :?

Thanks for all the help. :cooler:
