I have the GL1800 service manual, and an expired right low beam headlight. Is there an alternate method to replace the bulb other than that defined in the manual?

Thank you to those with greater experience.

I recommend you post your question over in the technical section. Most of the gurus won't see it over here, and a lot more people frequent over there. Just a few of us greeters hang out over here on a regular basis.

I just changed the low beams on my 2006 for HID's and I removed the meter panel (because it is easy and gives you a couple of mm of room). It is doable by just turning the wheel but easier if you have hands and arms the size of a newborn and the touch of a blind man.

If all you are doing is replacing a H7 bulb it should take about 3 minutes.

I don't remember what it says in the manual but if it's the left bulb move the handlebars all the way to the right. Vice versa on the right side. Go in from the top of the bike.
