After adjusting the cables for reverse it worked fine up on the center stand. Went to back it out of the barn today again it would only back up about 10ft. Put in on the stand and everything looked fine. Checked the clearance for the lost motion plate. None.
Loosened the cables to readjust again.
The threaded end for the neutral cable broke. When I first adjusted it seemed very tight but looked to turn OK. Maybe I over tighten the lock nut to late now.
Book doesn't really say how to change it but doesn't look to hard.
Can I ride anyway?
Is it a pain to change. Does the shelter need to come off?

I have not changed one but it looks like quite a job. I don't see any reason to remove the shelter, just the front center cover to get to the reverse actuator. Tape the new cable to the old to pull it through.

Thanks I think that is how I'll approach it. Front center cover if it can't be done that way it is off with the shelter.
Either way, I'll take some pictures on what I had to do.

Let me put it another way, you can't get to it from the top unless you also remove the air box which is difficult.
