Congrats on your new ride and welcome aboard! Be sure to post and introduction over in the New Members Introduction forum so you can be properly greeted!!
Most people install them in the forward wall of the left pocket where there is enough room and that is the intended location for most aftermarket kits. The 1800 has an available plug for this install forward of the left pocket.
To remove the pins you take a pointed object (I use a small phillips head scerew driver) and push IN on the ceter pin. Then you get a finger nail or small screw driver under the edge and lift up. To put them back you pull the center pin back up into a raised position and insert it into the hole, then push the center pin flush. Pretty easy actually once you've done it.
