Are you sure about that Andy? Only I directed the owner of a 2001 1800 to the connector for power, in the rubber boot forward of the left pocket, tucked deep in the rubber boot and he found it and was able to use it for the Hondaline power socket he bought.

This should apply to European spec bikes too and is plug and play, just like the US spec ones.

When you are delving in the rubber boot that the connector should be located in, under and forward of the left pocket, you may have to delve deep only the connection block is often well inside the boot. The video shows your roughly where the connector will be found but it may not be too obvious.

The plug that you will be finding is on the ACC circuit so will be off when the ignition is off.

One can also be fitted to the trunk/ top box lid liner and again it will be plug and play and that one can be used all the time as it is permanent live. Also available quite reasonably from Cyclemax.....

Ok all you guys. Thanks for the info. I will check again tonight when II get home from work. There is wirering for muth mirrors on one side and Honda line heated grips on the other. Plus on the left side there is a an I-pod wireing installed and an inlet jack for the stereo. If those power connectors have been used where can I get that Y-connector you guys talk about/

I think Gene was talking about the ones that can be bought in pretty much any car accessory shop that have one male plug on the end and two female outlets on the other end that allows two low power items to be fed from one outlet.

I have one into that pocket like in the video and I then put a double adapter into it, which I then put my GPS into and still have a socket free to power up my phone or MP3 player or any low power item.

Additionally I have another socket on the front wall of the right hand pocket, that I have powered direct from the battery, with an in line fuse, which gives me a source inside the lockable pocket, in case I need to leave something charging for a while, if my SOH has the one in the trunk in use for her phone.

I knew little more than you Cyclepath and certainly didn't know about that double adaptor wiring kit with the fuses built in. Wish I had when I installed mine, I had to do the wiring myself and it would have been neater as plug and play. :sadguy:
