Ocassionally when engaging reverse gear I get a clicking noise as if the starter isn't engaging properly. If I engage 1st gear with the motor running, go into 2nd and back to neutral it engages and works fine again. Just wondering if I have a potential problem as at the moment it is more of annuisance than a problem given that it only happensnow and again. Anyone else experience this problem.

It is a series of clicks until you release the starter switch that sounds as if the starter is turning but it isn't engaging reverse properly. It appears that the neutral position has an effect because when you play about with the gears with the engine running it will eventually engage and work normally. :(

I know what you mean Ciaran. As I have stated it is only now and again it happens so I am not too concerned about it. If it get worse then it is time to worry. :waving:
