I've come across a few GL1800's with severely warped front rotors. All have been right side if memory serves. I have no good evidence why this happens. My gut feeling is it's something to do with the bike or the way it was ridden rather than a mistake someone made when servicing it. Something that really tends to warp rotors is leaky fork seals...if the fluid contaminates the rotor. This could have happened in the past. If someone has a lazy foot or hand, or is overagressive on the brakes it can overheat the rotors. Then there's this most recent recall on 1800's...the secondary master cylinder inspection. You might want to make sure it's been done. And...I'm not sure the inspection will always 'spot' a bad SMC. I'd say take a nice long ride and when you're done...check the rear wheel to see if it spins as freely as it should.
