Like other Goldwing riders, I'm sure the bass response of the stock audio system and speakers leaves a lot to desire. I ride an '07 Wing, and I've already upgraded my front and rear speakers with the J&M upgrade kits, but the real issue is a lack of low end. I've seen the Bazooka "in trunk" option, but I think a more elegant solution may be an amplifier and set of speakers underneath the seats. Anyone seen/heard of such a solution? If not, maybe I'll build one with a crossover andsimple plug-ins and make a fortune!

I haven't read of anyone doing big audio upgrading to the newer 1800s with the new audio system. Many owners upgraded pre-06 models with amps and bigger speakers.

Hi franklinc3

Have a look there: http://www.goldwingelectronic.de/GOLDWING/Sound/sound.html

FULL SOUND SYSTEM

Here are some bassbumps wich have to be installed at the inner wall of the saddlebags. It has a two channel amplifier, connected to the rear speakers.

I have them here, but not yet installed.

The bassbumps are from SINUSLIVE

Sorry i don't know if same units are available in the US.

When riding you can't hear bass well anyway. If you convert it to vibration in the bike you will only feel it.
While it might help some, I found that it usually just makes you feel like something is going wrong with the bike.
YMMV

I am building a professional and custom down fire box for the Truck of my wing. It looks great. It is a sealed type for an 8" Subwoofer. I favor JL audio so I will be putting an 8w3v3 Subwoofer in it. I speced the box to this sub. My requirement was to still be able to fit my helmet next to it in the trunk. I will have TAP plastics custom a nice piece for the top and I may put a small colored led in there for lighting. This will be powered by a compact Rockford 300x1 but i may upgrade to the 500x1.

I was thinking about building a few and marketing them on ebay. I was thinking: Custom Box, Top of the line Sub, Amp, and install kit for around $500. What do you think?

I can post some pics soon if anyone is interested.

Welcome to the forum.

Sounds like you are on it, as far as the woofers.

A "custom" idea is probably the only way to go for you.
