Don't know about the GL1800's but most of the VTX 1800 guys are going to the Avon Venom R's and love them even better than the Metz 880's and they push them hard !:clapper:I recently replaced the Dunlaps on my 2002 VTX with Avon Venom R tires. Has anyone put these on a Goldwing?? What aftermarket tires are most folks putting on their bikes?
I ride with Metzlers. Will never go back to Bridgestones. Two sets of Bridgestones lasted a total of 29,000 k. I just replaced my first set of Metzlers after 27,000 k on them. Took a little getting use to the wobble at very low speeds, but that passes by.I recently replaced the Dunlaps on my 2002 VTX with Avon Venom R tires. Has anyone put these on a Goldwing?? Hey 01hgw :leprechaun: I thought the k just meant thousands, thats the way we write it here 29k. :clapper:That mileage is very poor compared to what my neighbour got on his :18red:but then you guys probably drive faster than we do. :crying:But he says that BRIDGESTONES are the best on the market, :weightlifter:so im not going to argue with that. :band:Hey Red,
I think you might have missed my little k behind the 29,000. So I am referring to kilometers not miles. Also two sets of tires, not one. Therefore the 29k converts to 18,215 miles give or take. Divide that by two and it is 9,062.5 miles per set. In my books not very good at all.
I don't know about us driving faster than the Irish. I have been on plenty of those country roads of yours. Some pretty fast drivers and riders on the Emerald Isle.01hgw wrote:Hey 01hgw :leprechaun: I thought the k just meant thousands, thats the way we write it here 29k. :clapper: That mileage is very poor compared to what my neighbour got on his :18red: but then you guys probably drive faster than we do. :crying:But he says that BRIDGESTONES are the best on the market, :weightlifter:so im not going to argue with that. :band:Hey Red,
