While riding in 5th and accelerating or decelerating, the engine feels like its skipping or the clutch isslipping. Each time the gear starts to slip you feel the clutch lever depressing. The bike has 26400 miles. It was due an oil change, so I did that as soon as I got home using Amsoil synthetic. Oh did I metion it only does this in 5th gear.

The manual suggests looking for air in the clutch line possibly.

It has nothing directly to do with oil. The clutch is assisted by oil pressure however and I suspect there is something wrong with the seals causing the assist to lose pressure. The clutch will have to be removed to fix it.
