GL1800 turn signal problem

My GL1800 turn signals our not working in back and in the front they come on without blinking when you push the cancel and turn off when you slide the switch. Hazards don't work. Others have posted same issue but no one ever says what the issue turned out to be. Can anyone help? I started to take it apart to get to the relay but MAN what a job. James Cameron got to the Titanic easier then I can get to a GL1800 starter relay or canceling unit. Like to be sure before I completely tear it apart. Thanks.

This happened to me one time. It was the turn signal relay to be faulty.

Thanks. I was gonna guess canceling unit. I believe you can access that relay behind the dash rather than removing the front fairing?

Check the rear bulbs before you go to the trouble of replacing the flasher. There is no reason the flasher would cause your problem.

I also have a issue with my GL1800, my flashers do not work nor do my turn signals. I have checked my relay behind my speedometer, I have replaced my complete turn signal switch assy, swapped the relays under my seat, checked my bulbs. Where are grounds for the flashers/signals? I'm getting tired of chasing my tail. Have a very blessed day...
