Met up with Beenshot and his lovely wife up on the BRP tonight. We rode back down to Mt Airy, had a nice dinner, great conversation then My wife and I took them on a stroll through Mayberry RFD....... Pretty sure they liked the area and will be back.

I wish we had more time to spend with them or have them come over for the night but we had scheduled ourselves on a job tonight and had to leave a little early. But there will be a next time! It was great seeing Larry and his wife again. Have a safe remainder of your trip!

pictures soon.......I'm still in transit, somewhere in the middle of west virginny. thanks again John for the great tour guide service to Mayberry. the visit was too short and we will have to come back someday for a real visit when we have time to look around the area real good.
we did finish the BRP today and also rode the Skyline Drive. we saw several bears including one great big one that stood up on his hind legs right on the shoulder of the road as we rode by:shock:

I'm home............... Sorry I missed you Larry, good to meet Jobe05 and family. The rain did mess things up a little but we did get in some riding Wednesday, Thursday and Friday before heading home Saturday. We also went to Mt. Airy and to Mabry mill on the parkway Thursday. Took the long way home through Cumberland Gap and all the way across Kentucky instead of taking I 40. Will get some pictures posted eventually.

yes, it would have been good to meet up Dave, but the weather just threw us off schedule too much. Oh Well, I'm sure we will get together somewhere again in Arkie land.

we went across Kentucky on the way home. rode 710 miles Saturday and made a few stops along the bourbon trail.
