I have an opportunity to buy some pretty clean carbs for a 1981 gl 1100. My carbs have the flat top rounc style. The others have a dimple or niple in the center, other than that they look the same. Will the smartest people on the planet be able to advise whether these will work with my 81? these are the only things missing from a complete bike re buils, I hope.:?

those carbs you are looking at are for a 75-79 gl1000. You would be best staying away from them. There are about4 differant variations of them. JB

Lots of differences year to year and between 1000's 1100's like vacuum advance on 1100's, jet sizes, air cut-offs, etc.

Nasaldave: I see you are in OKC. Not a good option for all of the stated reasons. You can put 1100 carbs on a 1000 but not the other way around.

You have a PM.
