What is the correct way to determine the amperage output on my alternator? Just bought my wing and trying to find if I need to upgrade it.Any help would be appreciated:?

Try this link, seems pretty easy to follow:

Note; If you don't have a multi-meter with an Induction "loop" you might have to pull the alternator and have someone like autozone test it for you...

The biggest concern is what is your voltage reading at idle and at 3,000 RPMs with everything on you will be running? If you have less than 13-13.5 volts at idle you will be draining your battery at idle.

If you don't have a volt meter on the bike it is a good investment to be able to see what it is doing as you are riding, mounted where you can see it easily w/o looking down or around anything.
